Inner Wheel Club of Mumbai, Parleshwar which is authorised by ARPAN FOUNDATION had organised SPARSH – A Child Safety Awareness Programme for the students of Primary Section on the 9th and 10th of August, 2023 by the Resource persons –

Mrs. Asavari Ranade and

Mrs. Sangita Katdare. 

The session started with the narration of a story about a girl who was shown an adult clip on a mobile phone by her close relative which is an unsafe act. It was followed by the discussion with the students about safe and unsafe touch. Appropriate pictures were shown of the body parts that should be addressed using their correct names. Different situations were discussed to explain the students about what is safe touch and what is unsafe touch, who are the trusted adults to inform if someone touches them. The session ended with a question answer round and also by taking a pledge to follow personal safety rules for oneself and by others. Child helpline number 1098 was shared with the students in case of such a situation.

The session was quite interactive and informative for the students and also for the teachers.
