PTVEMS PRI SEC celebrates the festival of Gokulashtami with great enthusiasm and fervour.….On Friday, 23rd of August 2019, we celebrated Janmashtami at school.Our students came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna and gop-gopikas . A splendidly colourful program was organized by the children and staff of the school; where students presented songs, dance performances and a short role play. An awareness on Janmashtami, the mythological stories on Krishna – through plays and narrations; were presented to the children.
The students were overjoyed when they broke the ‘Dahi Handi’ (pot of butter & curd) to grace this occasion. Dahi Handi is the most ancient joyful game played and celebrated, for the birth of Krishna in Janmashtami. It is celebrated amidst merriment…
