👴🏻Grandparents’ Day Celebration👵🏻

Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School, Primary Section, celebrated Grandparents’ Day with great enthusiasm and warmth. The event aimed at honoring grandparents for their unconditional love, guidance, and invaluable role in shaping family values.

The programme began with a traditional welcome of grandparents with tika, attar, flowers, and greeting cards prepared by the students. The atmosphere was filled with devotion as the celebration started with Deep Prajwalan followed by a welcome speech by the Principal Madam. The soulful Ishtavan added a divine touch to the beginning of the event.

The cultural presentations by students and parents highlighted the strong bond between generations. Students performed a welcome dance and a thought-provoking skit on Bridging the Generation Gap. A unique presentation, ‘Sanskriti and Samskar’-  The Gift of Grandparent Ratnakar Khare to Grandson Arnesh Khare , beautifully showcased the values passed down through generations. Adding to the charm, teacher Kamakshi Kulkarni presented a lively monoacting performance, while the PTA mesmerized the audience with a vibrant dance item “Retro to Metro.”

A special highlight of the day was the session “आधारवट – कुटुंब सुखवर्धन” conducted by Manashakti Research Kendra, Lonavala. The talk guided grandparents on how to make their experiences useful for grandchildren, understand child psychology, manage physical and mental stress, and utilize time effectively.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks followed by Pasaydan, leaving the audience with a sense of gratitude and joy. Alongside the programme, a book and activity exhibition was organized, featuring brain-booster activities, experimental materials, and a rich collection of literature for both children and grandparents.

The Grandparents’ Day celebration truly reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing values, strengthening family bonds, and appreciating the wisdom of elders.
