Gudi Padwa celebration by PTV English Medium Primary Section

Gudi Padwa is a spring festival that marks the New Year celebration for Marathi Hindus. It is celebrated on the first day of the Chaitra month according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar in Maharashtra and Konkan regions. This festival usually falls between the months of March and April.The festival has a lot of importance and is a notable one, schools have holiday on this festival and so PTVEMS primary section also celebrated it a day prior on 21st March,2023. A speech briefing the students about this festival and it’s importance was delivered by Ms.Olivia Falcao, class teacher of std III B. The display boards were decorated with colourful garlands and a beautiful drawing of the *GUDI* by our drawing teacher Mrs.Shilpa Jadhav .The festival was celebrated in a short but sweet manner.
