Holi celebration

The festival of Holi was celebrated with great enthusiasm at PTVEMS (Primary Section). The event began with a special session where Mrs. Bhavika Kulkarni teacher narrated the significance of Holi, highlighting its cultural and mythological importance. Students learned that Holi symbolizes the victory of good over evil and is celebrated with colors, joy, and togetherness across the country.

A special mention was made of how Holi is celebrated in different parts of India, especially in the Konkan region, where it is known as Shimga Utsav. The stories of Pralhad and Shankasur were shared, emphasizing the rich folklore associated with the festival. This helped students understand the deep-rooted traditions and the regional variations of the celebration.

Adding to the festive spirit, Mrs. Kalpana Kalekar,  Principal madam applied natural colors to the students, promoting an eco-friendly way to enjoy the festival. The highlight of the celebration was a procession of Shimga taken out by the students, where they joyfully participated in the traditional customs, reflecting the essence of this grand festival through folk music and dance .

The event concluded on a cheerful note, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation for Indian culture and traditions.
