P. L. Deshpande Birth Anniversary Celebration
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Maharashtra’s beloved writer, humorist, and music composer P. L. Deshpande, a special programme was organized in Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School Primary Section on 13th November 2025
The event began with an informative speech on the life and works of P. L. Deshpande, highlighting his immense contribution to Marathi literature and theatre by Mrs. Bhavika Kulkarni teacher.
Our talented students, Nevaan Naik (4/B), Shravani Patil (3/B), Vedant Mule (4/C) Agamya Temgire (3/D) and Reet Pawar (2/C) presented melodious songs composed by Pu. La. himself, such as “Majhe Jeevan Gane” and “Nach Re Mora,” filling the atmosphere with joy and nostalgia.
The main attraction of the programme was the P. L. Deshpande Literary Exhibition, where his famous books like Vyakti ani Valli, Batatyachi Chal, Asa Mi Asami, Hasavnuk, Apoorvai, and Purvarang were beautifully displayed.
The programme concluded with the thought that Pu. La. Deshpande’s writings continue to inspire us to live life with laughter, kindness, and positivity.
It was a delightful and enlightening tribute to a true legend of Marathi literature.
