The arrival of Maharashtra’s beloved god ‘Ganpati’ is just around the corner. Hence the school had organised a Shadu Clay Ganpati making workshop for the students of Std IV.
The enthusiasm was infectious with active participation from kids and adults (parents & teachers) alike, who were eager to take back home the idol and colour it when dry.
These shadu idols can then be returned to nature, by dissolving them completely in a container of water and pouring it into a garden or the base of a tree.”‘
During the GaneshoUtsav’, the idols of Ganesh made of POP (Plaster of Paris) are bought from the market. When the idol is immersed in the water, the water gets polluted. This workshop was arranged by us to make the students aware of it. The Ganesh Idols made by the students will be given to them so that we can spread our message of Eco-friendly Ganesh
The students were guided by Statue artist Shri.Vinay Pilankar. Other enthusiasts were Smt. Asha Kulkarni Ma’am and Smt Manik Bondre Ma’am . They too also gaveled students for making idols. This is the fourth time school has organized such event.
The biggest share of success of this event goes to the enthusiastic parents who volunteered to assist .Without their support this event would not have been so successful.
