Lippan Art Activity for the teachers

It’s the beginning of the academic year and to keep the enthusiasm and spirit among the teachers PTVEMS PRIMARY SECTION organized a Lippan Clay Art activity which was held on the 15th June 2024.

Lippan art is a clay art form from the state of Gujarat, India. It is mostly done by the village ladies from Kutch to decorate their homes. Traditionally lippan is made by adding mud and cow dung and done on the walls. But teachers were introduced contemporary way of lippan which used 2 part polymer clay.

Teachers were given the Lippan art kit which consisted of MDF board as the base, clay, acrylic paint and mirror pieces for decoration.

Mrs. Shilpa Jadhav, Drawing teacher showed a lippan art done by herself and she also instructed the teachers how to use the clay and other materials. According to the given instructions and guidelines teachers made beautiful and creative designs. The activity was well executed and teachers enjoyed the activity with great joy and fun
