National Science Day 2025
National Science Day is celebrated annually on 28th February, commemorating the discovery *of ‘Raman Effect’* by
Dr.Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman in 1928. He was also awarded the Nobel prize in Physics for the discovery in 1930.
National Science Day programme is designed to inspire curiosity, ignite creativity, and foster a love for science among students, researchers, and enthusiasts.
On the occasion of National Science Day, PTVEMS Primary Section had organised a special programme to honour the achievements of Dr. C.V. Raman.
The celebration started of with an inspiring speech by Miss Sweni Barbose, who highlighted Dr. Raman’s contributions and his passion for research. Students performed scientific experiments and actively participated in science quiz. They were also explained about the importance of science and technology.
The celebration ended with a thought- provoking discussion about the importance of science in everyday life.
