Relaxation Techniques

On Friday, 11th October 2024, a teacher’s session was held to commemorate World Mental Health Day. The session was conducted by the school counselor, Meghana Barve Deshmukh, and the occupational therapist, Dr. Mugdha Wagh Shaan. The topic of the session was “Relaxation Techniques.” 

It began with a brief introduction to this year’s World Mental Health Day theme: “It is time to prioritize mental health at the workplace.” Following the introduction, the Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) technique was demonstrated, and teachers had the opportunity to actively participate in learning 2-3 additional relaxation techniques. 

The purpose of this session was to provide teachers with a moment of relaxation, equipping them with practical methods to manage stress. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, leaving the participants with a renewed sense of relaxation.
